I’m trying to be better to update you on what’s happening with Lofty Heights Movement with bi-monthly newsletters but in the world of adulting-- work and the continued emotional rollercoaster (cue in Vivan Green song here) that I’ve been going through has got me feeling all over the place.
Currently what it looks like in my brain:
On top of my personal stuff, the world is going through so much heartache and loss. As a reminder for your own mental health try to do the following every day:
Take 3 deep breaths
Take breaks when needed
Find the small joys that brighten up your day
Most importantly REST. You can never get enough rest.
LHM updates:
Catch my mother and me in our monthly Yoga & Reiki event at Heyground Harlem. These monthly events are about bringing the community together through holistic practices and sharing the work of Lofty Heights Movement.
We will start out the evening with a guided meditation to crystalize our healing intention, followed by a mindful chair yoga class followed by a reiki session. Whether you are new to Yoga, or a seasoned mat veteran, everyone will benefit from this practice. We then continue with a Reiki share to clear our bodies of any energy blockages.
